Ballroom and Contemporary

Dance offers opportunities in exploring a variety of dance styles, choreography including numerical skills, in developing ones imagination and self expression, gaining core strength and stability, presentation and performance.

We have three classes per week;

Every Thursday 9:00am – 3:00pm, Music & movement

Location: Ace Space, St. Nicholas Road, Newbury, Berkshire. RG14 5PR 

Dance creates images, ideas and feelings into movement that brings about personal and social importance.

Dance allows us to discover, explore and develop our natural instincts with movement and self expression. It enables us to develop not only with our motor skills but also our thinking process and emotional well being. In this session the group explore a variety of dances genres and eras from around the world.

The skills developed are in presentation, improvisation, memorising, sequencing, choreographing and performing, many of which are interchangeable with life skills.

Cost: £48.00 per session or half day £25.00

 

Every Thursday 6:30pm – 8:00pm, Interdance

Location: Morpheus Theatre, Phonix Centre, Newtown Road, Newbury, Berkshire. RG14 7EB

Dance allows us to discover, explore and develop our natural instincts with movement and self expression. It enables us to develop not only with our motor skills but also our thinking process and emotional well being. In this session the group explore a variety of dances genres and eras from around the world.

The skills developed are in presentation, improvisation, memorising, sequencing, choreographing and performing, many of which are interchangeable with life skills. The group performs at local events like the Newbury Carnival and a variety of Interakt musicals.

Cost: £5.00 per session

 

Every Friday 12 noon – 3:00pm, Dance & Movement club

Location: Ace Space, St. Nicholas Road, Newbury, Berkshire. RG14 5PR

Dance Learn to tell simple and dynamic stories through drama, voice, mime, movement and music. Explore and create a variety of ways to design and create scenery, costumes and props.

Develop presentation skills and take part in performances through out the year to include participating with partnership projects. Dance is choreographed by participants and session leaders for developing self expression, confidence, gaining strength, dexterity, develop numerical and sequencing skills.
